International Students & Scholars (ISSS) is here to strengthen, enrich and advocate for international education and cultural exchange by anticipating and responding to the specific needs and concerns of the international community.
Winter Holiday Operations: Please be advised that after December 20th, 2024 until January 2nd, 2025, ISSS will have very limited ability to assist in urgent matters, e-mails, and processing due to the university holiday schedule and staff on leave. It is normal for individuals in the U.S. to take an extended break for the holidays and we thank you for your understanding and patience. We cannot expedite late requests or other e-mails during this time. We will resume processing and normal operations on January 2nd, 2025 and will work diligently upon our return to address your needs.

Your e-mail will be routed to an advisor who will need to first review your record, conduct the proper research for you, and provide a documented response for reference. In our reply, we will include guidance from staff who specialize in your issue.
If an in-person, zoom, or phone follow-up appointment becomes necessary, an initial contact with our office following the above procedures will begin that advising process and connect you with staff. Requests for immediate appointments are not possible and appointment times are limited to matters that cannot be resolved via e-mail.
We do monitor communications daily and assess for urgency. We also work quickly to reply and assess your issue, but please allow up to 3 business days for an initial advising response.
Due to the sensitive nature of immigration advising and questions that may be specific to individual students/scholars, we do not offer immediate phone advising. Calls to our office number are answered by support staff who can only assist with general information or above office procedures.
