International Students & Scholars (ISSS) is here to strengthen, enrich and advocate for international education and cultural exchange by anticipating and responding to the specific needs and concerns of the international community.
To request to speak to an international student advisor, please e-mail our ISS team at: isss-students@mail.wvu.edu. E-mail is monitored daily and it is the best way to reach an experienced advisor. In your e-mail, please include:
An advisor will then review the e-mail, conduct the proper research and review of your record, include any individuals who also need to be aware, and follow up within 1-3 business days with a response. We do monitor and assess for urgency. Please note that response times may be longer if requiring additional research or inquiries to other offices or government agencies are needed.
If an issue cannot be resolved via e-mail and our advisors determine an appointment is then needed for more detailed or complex cases, they will reach out to you to discuss available times to meet via zoom or phone call. Please note that in-person and walk-in appointments with an international student advisor are not available at this time.
