The 2022 Annual WVU International Street Festival will be held Saturday, October 8th, from 11-4, on High Street.
The festival provides an opportunity for students and scholars from around the globe to showcase their culture to the WVU and Morgantown community, focusing on the diversity found right here in Morgantown. WVU hosts over 2000 international students from over 100 countries around the world. The event highlights the diversity of our students, business owners, and local entrepreneurs, connecting the University to the community in a unique way.
Student Organizations representing their countries will organize booths along High Street displaying cultural games, food, and artifacts from their home country. Local vendors are invited to sell food (in the past: Bombay Grill, Saute by Rene, Kassar’s and Garcia’s Latin Market have participated), performers entertain at a stage set up in the courthouse square throughout the day (in the past: Mike Vercelli and the African Drum ensemble, bagpipers, belly dancers, SabroSon Band, and others) and students put on fashion shows throughout the day.
